She should feel guilty. She knows this, somewhere in her soul. She should feel guilty for divorcing her husband and leaving her young son and running off to Canada. Lord knows her mother's trying to guilt trip her right, left, and center, but then her mother seems to think that Nathan's going to take Aaron far away and never let her see him.
Her mother doesn't really know Nathan.
She smiles, and leans on the rail of the boat, and gazes out across the lake, the light of the sunset reflected in rippling waters.
She should feel guilty.
She doesn't.
