Bridget looked fantastic in the deep peacock colors, green and blue and gold, her hair blazing red against the silk and satin and cotton lisle that she loved so much to wear. Summer mornings she would wear a thin gold sundress and dance barefoot on the lawn; winter evenings she would lounge against the sofa in a green silk robe, half open over her luminescent skin.
For their wedding, she wore blue, the color of the sky at evening, and her hands when she held Lily's were pale as the moon.
Lily loved everything about her, but especially those colors.
