Boot camp is a blur of exhaustion and strain, working til she drops then two hours more. Anger carries her through, pushing her one more step and then another, even when she's sure she can't.
She can handle it. She can handle the pain, the cold-water training, the nights when she cries herself to sleep from sheer exhaustion. She can handle it, because her past is blurring, fading away, leaving only determination to drive her; stripping the impurities, leaving only herself inside her skin.
She's being forged into something stronger. Something better.
