"Mine," Ahava says immediately; Duncan sighs, and doesn't bother to argue.
"You should have it," Gina says, and Olivia demurs, and they end by halving it carefully down the middle, right down to equal swirls of icing.
Neither Aaron nor Lars says anything; they share a look, and trade bites until it's gone.
Summer doesn't need to say anything; she gives Lars her enormous puppy eyes, and he gives her the whole thing.
"Mine," Danny insists, and laughs when Michael only sighs, but she ends up giving him the damn cupcake anyway, like she knew she would from the start.
