Title: truth
Rating: PG
Summary: Jennifer calls her sister.
Warnings: none.
Notes: hahahahaha EVERY LILITH FAIR PROMPT FILLED. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
"Hello?"
Jennifer can hear the slight slur in her sister's voice, and she knows Becky's been drinking. But what good would it do to say so, when this has happened?
"Becky," she says, instead. "I..."
What can she say? Michael begged her-- actually, literally begged her--not to tell Becky where he is. But she is a mother too.
"I suppose you heard," Becky says. "My children have left me too."
Jennifer's throat closes up. Michael begged her. But there's so much pain in Becky's voice.
"Becky," she says, at last. It's all she can get out. "I'm so sorry."
