Title: tears
Rating: PG
Summary: The trees are crying.
Warnings: none.
Notes: An exercise in emotion, which may or may not be continued.
The trees are crying. Summer can hear them--yes, and see them too, from the deck of the ship, the water falling down through their leaves and branches.
The trees are crying and Summer is crying too, tugging at her sister's sleeve. "Don't go," she keeps saying, "don't go," because if Ivy goes, she'll find out why the trees are crying. Summer doesn't want to find out why trees cry.
"Don't go," it's all she can say, but Ivy's pulling away and getting in the boat, and the trees are crying, why can't she see that the trees are crying.
