Title: Two Apples
Rating: PG-13.
Summary: Ivy and Gina.
Warnings: some sexytimes and suggestive pictures.
Notes: For International Femslash Day, my second offering. I did something a little different with this mix. None of the writing is original. I was trying to match what I've already written to the songs. Here's hoping that it works.

Two Apples, Katy Pfaffl
And I think we both know
that if we take it nice and slow
I’m gonna love you
for a long long time
Gina watched Olivia go, then looked at Ivy, who was watching her again with that enigmatic expression firmly in place. Then she smiled, sudden and bright, like a switch had been flipped somewhere in her mind.
"It's wonderful to finally meet you, Gina," she said.
Beautiful Eyes, Taylor Swift
sometimes I think of you late at night
I don't know why
I want to be somewhere where you are
The girl looked in Gina's direction just then, and even from this distance her eyes were extraordinary. A deep, endless blue-grey, eyes the color of an ocean under stormy skies, they softened her whole face and bearing. Eyes like that could make a girl forget herself.
Fallin' For You, Colbie Caillat
I've been waiting all my life
and now I found you
I don't know what to do
I think I'm falling for you
"It's just that she's so beautiful," Ivy said, ignoring him. "And I'm, you know, me."
Short, fierce, abrasive, not pretty...
"Smart, fast, attractive, and with no alcohol tolerance," Aaron said, and Ivy realized she'd said that out loud.
"Oops," she said. "Maybe the martini was a bit much."
"It's okay," he said, ruffling her hair. "You're still coherent. Ask Gina out."
"I'm not that drunk," she said, and sighed.
Momentum, Vienna Teng
Won't you help me rise up
Touch my face and watch me try to breathe again
Would you let me do this
Burn down the final wall
Overcome me, baby
"Oh," Gina said, and looked across the circle again, at Ivy now straightening up and stretching, the lines of her body clear and strong against her shirt, the bones of her wrists stark under her skin. Sister was not what she wanted to be.
Kiss the Girl, Ashley Tisdale
Shalalalala
Don't stop now
Don't try to hide it how
You wanna kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl
Ivy wrinkled her nose, thinking. Was that... it couldn't be, she looked terrible...and it was always better not to assume. But Gina was smiling, and she was so lovely, and Ivy had wanted her since she'd seen her...
"Or I could buy you dinner once I get over this damn cold," she said, as casually as she could manage.
Hanging On, Britt Nicole
Hanging on to every word you say
To light up my way
Even every little whisper I'm
Hanging on as if it were my life
I'm hanging on
"Really," Ivy said, as if five minutes hadn't elapsed between this statement and her last. "I mean it. Love you."
"Just like you meant it for everyone else you've said it to," Gina told her, not without affection.
"Really," Ivy said, insistently, then pushed herself off the bed and dropped to her knees in front of Gina with alarming suddenness. Gina put out a hand to steady her, and found that hand captured and held tight. "I mean it."
Gina stared into Ivy's eyes, so earnest and so close and so very, very blue, and swallowed hard. "Ivy," she whispered, "you're drunk."
"Yep," Ivy said, happily. "Still mean it."
You Set Me Free, Michelle Branch
'Cause I wanted to fly,
so you gave me your wings
And time held its breath so I could see, yeah
You set me free
But she'll kiss Gina, anywhere, any time. She dances like she doesn't care; she believes in herself and Gina and the two of them like some believe in God. Ivy's proud of her; Ivy doesn't judge. She didn't know she missed that.
Ivy's perfect; she makes Gina perfect too.
Heaven, Brandi Carlile
Baby you're all that I want
When you're lying here in my arms
I'm finding it hard to believe
We're in heaven
My lover. Just the sound of those words in her own mouth still runs a thread of desire down Ivy's spine. The sight of Gina wraps that thread around her abdomen and pulls tight, arches her towards her lover, drawn like a magnet or a fish on a line. She won't move, not yet, but her nipples are tightening. Gina pulls her in, and always, always she's glad to go.
All That I Want, The Weepies
So small a turning
The world grows older every day
An ache, a yearning
Soften when I hear you say
All that I want, all that I want
I read somewhere that love is the condition where another person's happiness becomes essential to your own. It's like that with Gina; I knew I loved her when she came to a date so brilliantly happy, and instantly I was happy too, just because she was. She smiles, and I have to smile, because she's my heart.
You Rise and Meet the Day, Dar Williams
But you do not give up so easily
That's how I know you won't surrender me
You rise and meet the day
It's all I need, it's all I need to know, it's all I need to know
"I love you," she said, her voice muffled in Gina's shoulderblades.
Gina brought her hands up and wrapped them around Ivy's, then bowed her head and closed her eyes. "I love you," she said, her voice catching. "I... I love you."
"I'll be there," Ivy said, raising her head. "I'll be there through the whole thing. Don't worry. I'll be there, and we'll get through whatever happens together."
"I know," Gina said, and because she had known it but she hadn't been sure, lowered her head and pressed an awkward kiss to the back of Ivy's hand. "Thank you."
Love Song, Tilly and the Wall
oh pretty love don't worry
with me you don't need a place to hide
so just sit real still
and the light will flood in over the window sill
oh yeah just sit real still
and you and me will bloom
The hotel room had a balcony, and even though it was December, Ivy lured Gina out onto it with hot chocolate, blankets, and the promise of more cuddles. They were both too tired for anything more, although the next few days were promising.
"Getting married is exhausting," Gina said, sleepily.
Ivy mumbled agreement and cuddled closer. Gina's body curved just right against hers, the two of them entwined. Like rope fibers, now; inseperable. For better or worse.
They'd had a lot of both. They'd probably have more of both.
Bring it on, Ivy thought, and smiled.
