"You're the most beautiful girl in the world," her father tells her, when she's three.
Yvonne takes this smugly to heart, and holds it over her sister's head at every opportunity. She keeps it in mind during high school, and gets every boy she wants. She holds it as a shield in hard times, and takes Hugh from 'Resa, takes Olivia from Hugh, takes from her lovers what she wants. Everything she has is based on this; she's the most beautiful girl in the world.
It isn't until the end of everything that she realizes it might not be true.
