Molly finds the ocean suffocating.
She dreams about it sometimes; she isn't sure why. Maybe because Billy dreams about it, and not all the stories about twins are lies. But she dreams about the ocean, the weight of the water on her chest, her mouth filling with salt and copper.
She has better dreams. Dreams of flying and the wind in her hair, circling and whirling on the currents, blown anywhere she chooses to be. It's her freedom, what she can't bear to lose. It's the only way she can breathe.
She thinks Billy feels the same about his ocean.
