Perfect

Title: Perfect
Rating: PG
Summary: The trouble with dating a beautiful woman is the occasional jealousy.
Warnings: none
Notes: I'm trying to write a PBN story set in this AU, and also I had some Great Gatsby feels. Have some 1920s lesbians while I try to work them both out.

Ivy is dancing in her t-strap shoes and sage-green dress, fringe swaying, hair swinging. She's tucked a peacock feather into her bandeau, and she's laughing at her partner, swinging under his arm. And Gina sits in the corner, legs dangling, stirring her champagne cocktail and trying not to be jealous.

It's just, Ivy is so perfectly beautiful, with her slim, flat-chested body and tiny build. Gina's wide-hipped, full-bosomed, Victorian figure could never match hers, not even corseted to an inch of her life. She can't compare, and she knows it.

Still, it's her Ivy returns to after her dance, eyes bright and lips parted, hands soft on hers. It's her ear Ivy whispers naughty things into, the corner of her mouth Ivy kisses.

She's not fashionably pretty, but Ivy makes her feel that she's perfect.

That's all she really needs.
