Title: Noise
Summary: The city and the noise.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Sort of the flip side of this. Last Ibiza blue.
Home was an Alabama town, sleepy and slow, crickets and cicadas. It was peaceful, but Ahava found she could never sleep as well anymore, on visits home. It wasn't the same, outside of the city.
She liked the noise of it, the taxi horns and constant talk. They called it the city that never slept; subways roaring, people shouting. The sound of the bus stop outside her window, the hissing and heaving and honking, it was her lullaby. She couldn't sleep without the streetlights shining in her window.
She liked visiting home, she did, but she always missed the city.
