Title: Rain
Rating: G
Summary: Ahava, the city, and the rain.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Just came out of the fabric.
Rain in the city is different.
At home it's grand thunderstorms, sweeping across the land, the low lazy heat of the air just before the crack and spectacular flash of lightning. Ahava used to sneak outside and dance in the rain, revel in the crash and boom of nature.
In the city it's grey and bleak, the steady ceaseless drip of water almost like torture. Water drizzles down the window glass in uneven streaks, the closest she's seen to lightning since she moved here. It makes her feel lonely.
It's the worst thing about the city, she thinks; the rain.
