Counting the Ways
Jan. 1st, 2014 08:01 pmTitle: Counting the Ways
Rating: G
Summary: All the things Don Maserati loves about his wife.
Notes: It's all in the flaws.
It was two AM when Don finally set down his book. Acacia snored next to him, loud and curiously resonant, one hand loose against her silvering hair.
Oh, Acacia. She was arrogant and beautiful, secure in the knowledge of her superior intelligence. She was a fiercely loving mother and a combative wife, easily irritated, quick to anger—how she had raised their easygoing daughter, he would never know.
When he'd first met her, he'd known that he would love her for the rest of his life.
And so he had. Don bent, kissed her forehead, and turned out the light.
