Mike took her to a café in Venice to break up with her. Typical. He overdid everything; one of the reasons she'd chosen him. Yvonne wept, and sorted through her options.
"I'm sorry," he said, frantically patting her hand, "it's just that I can't leave my wife, you know that, and she's starting to get suspicious."
"What will I do without you?" she sobbed. "I love you so much!" Go to Paris, buy some nice dresses, find a new lover...
"I'm sorry," and he actually looked sorry. Interesting. "What can I do?"
The magic words. Yvonne stopped crying, and smiled.
