Snow had fallen overnight, and the world was bright and glittering. Frostflowers unfurled over the wooden porch, frost ferns curled on the windows.
Olivia didn't put her hand to the window, for fear they'd melt, but she stood on tiptoe and peeped out at the snowy fields. It was so beautiful, like it was made just for her. It was too cold for her, sadly, but maybe

Olivia blinked, and shook her head, and the wisp of memory vanished.
