Title: Verbal Agreement
Rating: PG-13 for language.
Summary: They had a contract!
Warnings: one cussword.
Notes: Some good old fashioned Number Four torment. God, I love messing with this guy.
"We had a contract," George snarls, slamming his fist against the bulletproof glass. "You put the papers in her desk, I give you money. We had a contract!"
The boy on the other side of the glass shrugs. "Verbal contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on," he replies. "You should know that."
George grinds his teeth. "You little bastard, you promised me..."
"I promised nothing of the sort," he says, "and by the way, this is being recorded. Thanks for that confession." He hangs up the phone and gets up to leave, and George can do nothing but howl.
