Title: Violets
Rating: G
Summary: Gina, Ivy, sundown, and violets.
Date: January 2021
Notes: There's no reason for this, except the lovely violets blooming at my school.
The sun was sinking into the ocean, a vast paper lantern, when Gina came onto the balcony trailing the scent of violets.
Ivy felt too comfortable to move much, but she did turn her head. "Hey. Where'd you go?"
"I wanted flowers." Gina shoved her gently to the side and squeezed down beside her in the wickerwork armchair that was just barely big enough for two. She plucked a violet from the bunch she carried, and tucked it behind Ivy's ear. "They make this perfect."
"Hmm," Ivy said, and rested her head on her wife's shoulder. "They do, don't they?"
