Six pregnancies, seven children, and a baby was still such a miracle to Thea. Henrik didn't do polysyllabic communication, but she knew he felt the same. To know that a new person had grown inside of you, had come from you... and then to actually see and touch that person, it was an incredible experience, beyond words.
Perhaps, she thought, nursing Elisa and tickling Elliot's little toes, shouting at Teddy to stop teasing his sister and Lars to put that down right now, that was why she'd had seven.
Heaven knew she couldn't think of any other reason just now.
