Notes: Inspired by T.S. Elliot. Which is why Gus and the story are named what they are.
Asparagus (sometimes called Gus) has good humans. They feed him on time, and the kitten will pet him for hours on end. The kitten is his favorite. She knows what he is due.
The kitten dislikes him in her bed, though, so he sleeps with the mated ones. Gus likes them too, even if he sometimes gets kicked in the night. They do not mean it, and a good yowl sets them straight.
He is not yet sure about the older kittens, the ones who come and go. But they seem nice. He likes these humans.
He will keep them.
