Title: Getting Old
Rating: G.
Summary: Gail is getting tired of this.
Date: 1995
Notes: This is about the fifth random animal Ivy has brought home. Takes place shortly before Kittens.
Gail pinched the bridge of her nose and tried to stay calm.
"Ivy," she said, as patiently as she could, "please explain to me how you picked up a pit bull on a grocery run." Without the attendent groceries, no less.
Ivy scratched the pit bull's ears as it slobbered adoringly on her lap. "I dunno," she said. "He followed me home."
Of course he did. Gail sighed. "We can't keep it. We don't have space for a dog."
Ivy and the pit bull turned identical pairs of huge pleading eyes on her, one blue, one brown.
For Christ's sake.
